Presentamos una aproximación a la obra de dos artistas relevantes valencianos Mar Arza y Ximo Amigó, ya que ambos tienen en común la utilización del signo tipográfico en su producción artística. Una entrevista conjunta que muestra sus reflexiones acerca de la letra tratada como materia prima en la concepción de su obra, su proceso creativo y el significado posterior que el signo toma en sus obras. Es un diálogo que yuxtapone ambas visiones complementarias y nos desvela el valor plástico de la letra como icono, que va más allá de la semántica.

Abstract

We present an approach to the work of two relevant Valencian artists Mar Arza and Ximo Amigó, since both have in common the use of the typographical sign in their artistic production. A joint interview that shows his reflections about the letter treated as raw material in the conception of his work, his creative process and the subsequent meaning that the sign takes in his works. It is a dialogue that juxtaposes both complementary visions and reveals the plastic value of the letter as an icon, which goes beyond semantics.
